The Galliera Palace reopens its doors!

On October 1st, the Palais Galliera, the Fashion Museum of the City of Paris, finally reopens its doors. For the occasion, it offers a beautiful exhibition dedicated to Gabrielle Chanel and her "fashion manifesto". To be seen until March 14, 2021.

The Palais Galliera remained closed for more than two years, the time to carry out extension work. Now it becomes the first permanent fashion museum in Paris. For its reopening, it has chosen to pay tribute to a legendary designer: Coco Chanel.

Gloved tweed suit, two-tone pumps, 2.55 quilted bag: the Chanel style is recognizable at first glance, with elegance, sobriety and comfort. And still today, her name shines with a special aura.

During the retrospective proposed by the Galliera Palace, you will discover how Gabrielle Chanel became one of the most influential fashion designers of the 20th century. You will follow her extraordinary destiny, that of a woman promoted to the rank of legend during her lifetime. And perhaps you will be able to understand how she revolutionized the world of couture.

The exhibition is of course a unique opportunity to see the designer's original pieces, a total of 350 pieces, gathered in a vast space including the new galleries opened on the garden level. Small black dresses, suits, evening dresses, but also accessories and perfume (including the iconic No 5), it is a total immersion in the world of Chanel that awaits you.

In October, treat yourself to a haute couture stay in Paris and enjoy a comfortable room at the Hotel Beaugency.
