The exhibition "Tutankhamun, the Pharaoh's Treasure"

Go back in time and enter the enigmatic universe of the Pharaohs at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris! Until 15 September 2019, you will have the opportunity to contemplate the 150 objects in the exhibition "Tutankhamun, the Pharaoh's Treasure".

Organized by the Ministry of Egyptian Antiquities and the Louvre Museum, this exhibition-event invites visitors to escape. Immersive and surprising, it reveals to the curious the hidden treasures of the tomb of the most famous pharaoh. Although his reign was short-lived - Tutankhamun died at the age of 18 - he left a mystery behind him that still arouses interest. Discovered in 1922 by archaeologist Howard Carter, his tomb contained many secrets.

By 1967, the exhibition "Tutankhamun and his time" had already attracted more than 1.2 million visitors. Among the objects in the current exhibition, in addition to those of the Louvre Museum, you will discover coffins, sarcophagi, precious stones and vases that leave Egypt for the first time! Lovers of Egyptian history will have the pleasure of admiring a gilded wooden naos featuring scenes from Tutankhamun and Ankhesenamun, a miniature canopic coffin bearing the effigy of Tutankhamun or a gilded wooden funeral bed.

The exhibition promises a grandiose scenography, in the image of the Egyptian Pharaohs. This range of funerary objects is about to tour the world through a tour that began in Los Angeles and continues in Paris. On the occasion of the French edition, the statue Le Dieu Amon protecting Tutankhamun, from the Louvre's collections, is part of the tour.

A unique opportunity to discover Egypt's heritage and history at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris. Feel free to buy your tickets after booking your stay at the Beaugency Hotel.
